Tim Quick has devoted his legal career to trying serious legal matters, often to juries, on behalf of those in need of a little justice. Whether that person was the victim of a crime, a person adversely affected by the negligence of another, or an otherwise good person that unfortunately found him or herself under arrest, Tim has represented them all and earned a reputation as a tough but fair advocate. Tim began his legal career in 1994 as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Virginia Beach. After five years of prosecuting major felonies such as murder, robbery, burglary, and sexual offenses, he worked for a law firm that was hired by various insurance companies to defend those accused of causing automobile and construction accidents. With the inside knowledge gained from working for the insurance companies, and from his experience as a Virginia Beach prosecutor, he transformed his practice into representing those injured by the negligence of others, and those charged with serious criminal and traffic offenses. Most recently, and prior to joining the law firm of Rabinowitz, Swartz, Taliaferro, Swartz & Goodove, P.C., Tim was selected to serve as the Deputy Capital Defender for Southeastern Virginia, representing clients against whom the Commonwealth sought the death penalty. Tim now specializes in personal injury, criminal defense, and serious traffic offenses. He also proudly serves as an officer on the board of the Virginia Beach Bar Association, and will serve as its President in 2011.
